Community Development

The Community Development program in Kenya focuses on empowering individuals in local villages through capacity building, IT, and entrepreneurship development. It addresses human rights issues such as access to education for pregnant women, combating domestic violence, and advocating for women’s inheritance rights. Public health concerns specific to women’s groups are also a priority.

The initiative seeks to empower under-empowered women, making them aware of their fundamental rights and protecting them from abuse. Through collaborative efforts with multi-professional interns and volunteers, the program teaches valuable skills to initiate small businesses, create markets, and educates on women’s rights. Despite being underfunded, the program uses a collaborative approach, involving teamwork to enhance small business skills through education and awareness.

The program also strives to raise awareness about community issues through social media. Those passionate about community development, women’s rights, and gender equality are encouraged to join. Participants can contribute by building entrepreneurial skills, offering advice, and supporting local community growth. Opportunities include organizing workshops, visiting small businesses, and connecting with inspiring individuals behind community initiatives.

Vocational Training Program

Engage actively in organizing vocational training sessions that address community issues while integrating personal and professional skill development. The primary focus is on empowering community members through income generation, providing training in small business tasks such as horticulture, services, sales, and other essential skills.

Local Enterprise Assistance Initiative

Contribute to building entrepreneurial skills for local community members by providing guidance in basic accounting, organization, and marketing. Take part in organizing workshops and visiting small businesses within the community that are in the early stages of developing small enterprises. Establish connections with and support the inspiring individuals behind these ventures. Keep in mind that effective community development is achieved by empowering the livelihoods of its members. Give special attention to community requests for support, education, and addressing issues like child marriage.
